What is the most powerful over the counter pain killer?

I have a terrible toothache and can't get to the dentist until tomorrow. I need something strong for the pain. What is the most powerful over-the-counter painkiller I can get?

I always get so nervous taking painkillers because of potential side effects, especially if I don't know what's really causing the pain. Does anyone else feel like they worry too much about it? I just want to be safe.

For OTC, typically NSAIDs like Ibuprofen or Naproxen are considered quite strong for general pain and inflammation, along with paracetamol for fever and pain. But I always check my symptoms on my health app and if it persists, I go to a doctor. Self-medicating too much isn't good.

Any painkiller, especially those considered 'powerful', should be taken with extreme caution. Self-diagnosing and self-medicating serious pain can mask underlying conditions. It is always, always best to get the pain properly diagnosed by a doctor to ensure your safety and get the right treatment.

Beta, for simple pains, a warm compress or some ginger tea often helps. But if the pain is strong and persistent, don't just keep taking strong medicines from the shop. It is important to go to the doctor and find out why you are having the pain. Modern medicines are powerful, but also have their own dangers.

Be very careful with 'powerful' over-the-counter painkillers. They can often have significant side effects, especially on your stomach or liver, if taken frequently or without knowing the cause of pain. For me, with PCOS, any medication can affect my hormones or digestion. Always consult a doctor, don't just self-prescribe based on potency.
