What is the most common form of arthritis?

My mother has been complaining about joint pain for years, and the doctor said it's a type of arthritis. It seems like many older people have it. Which form of arthritis is the most common one?

My orthopedist explained that Osteoarthritis (OA) is by far the most prevalent type. It's basically wear-and-tear on the cartilage in your joints, often seen in older people or those who put a lot of strain on their joints. He emphasized managing weight and gentle exercise.

Arthritis sounds so painful. Is the most common type something that affects mostly older people, or can young people also get it? I'm just curious, because I thought it was mainly for elderly people.

From what I've heard, Osteoarthritis is very common, especially as people get older. Like with my thyroid, these things need regular monitoring. If you have joint pain, don't just ignore it, get it checked by a specialist.

It's usually Osteoarthritis that most people get, especially in their knees and hands. I manage mine with physiotherapy and some lifestyle adjustments. Don't push through severe pain, and find a good physio. It helps a lot.

Dude, my grandma has this. Doctors said it's like her knees are 'wearing out'. I think they call it osteoarthritis? She keeps telling me to take care of my joints now. I just try not to jump around too much, haha.
