What is the most common cause of septic arthritis?

A friend's child recently had to be hospitalized for something called septic arthritis, and it sounded really serious. I'd never heard of it before. What is the most common cause for someone to get septic arthritis?

Septic arthritis usually happens when bacteria, mostly 'Staphylococcus aureus', enters a joint, like from an infection elsewhere in the body or through a wound. It's a serious infection, so immediate medical attention is necessary. Don't wait on this one.

Septic arthritis is basically a joint infection, usually by bacteria like Staph aureus. It's not something exercise can fix; in fact, you need complete rest and antibiotics. It often comes from an infection spreading from another part of your body. Always see a doc, don't try to power through joint pain like that.

Septic arthritis is primarily caused by bacterial infection, most commonly Staphylococcus aureus, entering a joint. This can happen from a bloodstream infection or directly via a wound/injection. It's an emergency, requiring prompt diagnosis and treatment to prevent joint damage. Don't delay seeking medical help.

Oh, septic arthritis is very worrying, especially if it affects children. It's usually a bacterial infection, often 'Staphylococcus aureus,' that reaches the joint. It can spread quickly and cause damage. As a parent, you learn to rush to the doctor for any severe joint pain, because timely antibiotics are crucial.

I just recovered from septic arthritis! It was so painful. My doctors said it was caused by 'Staphylococcus aureus' bacteria, which somehow got into my knee joint. They told me it often spreads from other infections in the body, or sometimes from an injury. Immediate antibiotics and drainage were needed. It's really serious.
