Haan na, kidney function ke liye toh bahut tests hote hain. Usually, blood tests like Creatinine and Urea, aur ek urine test hota hai, Microalbuminuria bolte hain. My doctor also explained something about GFR, which is like the filtering rate of kidneys. Best to ask your doctor for the exact tests based on your symptoms.

The most accurate overall measure for kidney function is usually the Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR). It's calculated using creatinine levels, age, gender, and sometimes race. Blood tests for creatinine and urea are standard, but GFR gives a clearer picture of how well kidneys are filtering.

I was also wondering about this! I think I heard about something called a GFR test, which combines a few factors to tell you how well your kidneys are working. Blood tests for creatinine and urine tests are also common. It sounds complicated, but important to know.

For people like me with high BP, regular kidney function tests are a must. My doctor always checks my Creatinine and calculates GFR. Lifestyle plays a huge role in kidney health, so eating right and managing BP is crucial along with timely checkups.

From my experience, the GFR is the main thing the specialists look at. They usually derive it from your creatinine levels. Don't just do one test; it's a series of blood and urine tests usually, sometimes even an ultrasound, to get a full picture. Always follow through with what your nephrologist advises.

I just went through this! My doctor got a serum creatinine test done, and based on that, they calculated my eGFR (estimated GFR). That GFR number was the main thing they looked at to tell me about my kidney function. Also had a urine routine test.

While blood tests for creatinine and BUN (Blood Urea Nitrogen) and urine tests are foundational, the Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR) is widely considered the best overall indicator of kidney function. It provides an estimate of how much blood the kidneys filter per minute. However, always defer to your doctor's recommendations for specific diagnostic tests.
