What is the medical term for wear and tear arthritis?

My knees have been bothering me a lot lately, and the doctor said it's 'wear and tear arthritis.' I wanted to know the proper medical term for it so I can read up more. What is that term?

Oh, that's osteoarthritis! My grandma has it, and it sounds really painful. It's like the body's natural aging process affecting the joints. Practical advice: listen to your body and don't push it too much.

Achha, wear and tear arthritis? That is called 'osteoarthritis'. It means the joints become old and worn out. My grandmother had this in her knees. Take care of your body, beta.

It's osteoarthritis. My mother-in-law has it, doctor said it's common with age. They gave her some exercises and pain relief ointments. Simple physiotherapy and warm compresses sometimes help a lot for her.

Osteoarthritis! Sounds like our joints are getting as old as our craving for comfort food after a long day, haha. But seriously, good food and some gentle movement can make a difference, but doc knows best!
