What is the medical term for kidney stones?

My brother just had surgery for kidney stones, and the doctor used a very specific term for them. I forgot it. Can someone tell me what is the medical term for kidney stones?

That's 'nephrolithiasis', bhai. Very painful thing, I've heard. Drink lots of water, that's the main thing people say. But if you have it, straight to the doctor, don't mess around.

Oh, I think it's called 'nephrolithiasis' or 'renal calculi'. Is it always super painful, or can it be mild too? I'm just curious, hope it's not for anyone here.

Beta, the medical term is 'nephrolithiasis'. My neighbour had it many years ago. It sounds scary, but doctors nowadays have good ways to treat it. Don't worry too much, just consult good doctors.

My doctor explained it as 'nephrolithiasis' or 'renal calculi'. He said they're essentially hardened mineral deposits. Staying hydrated is key, and dietary changes are often recommended depending on the stone type. Early diagnosis helps a lot.

Namaste! Doctors call them 'nephrolithiasis'. It means stone in the kidney. We always tell everyone to drink enough water, especially in summer. If someone has pain, they should go to hospital straight away.
