What is the medical term for excessive vomiting?

My little one had a bad stomach bug last week and was vomiting a lot. The doctor used some technical word. I was curious, what is the medical term for excessive vomiting?

Ugh, excessive vomiting sounds terrible! I think it's called 'hyperemesis' or something similar. Like, for pregnancy, it's hyperemesis gravidarum. Hope you or whoever isn't going through that, yaar.

Namaste! For too much ulta, doctors usually say 'hyperemesis'. It means vomiting a lot, more than usual. Take care, drink lots of water, and if it's serious, see the doctor quickly, beta.

Haan ji, that's usually called 'hyperemesis'. Matlab, bahut zyada ulti, na. Sometimes happens with food poisoning or travel sickness. Just make sure to drink enough fluids and check with a doc if it's persistent.

It's often referred to as 'hyperemesis'. I've had episodes due to a stomach bug. The key is to stay hydrated with ORS or coconut water and try small, bland meals. If it doesn't stop or you feel weak, definitely consult a doctor.

The term is 'hyperemesis'. I once ignored persistent vomiting and ended up severely dehydrated. It can lead to serious electrolyte imbalance. Please, if anyone is experiencing this, go to a doctor immediately. Don't take it lightly.

In medical terms, they call it 'hyperemesis'. My grandmother used to say drink ginger tea, but for something excessive like this, it's always best to see a doctor. They will know what is truly happening.
