What is the maximum dose of nortriptyline for nerve pain?

My mother has been suffering from nerve pain for ages, and her doctor prescribed Nortriptyline. I was just reviewing her prescription and wanted to know what's usually the highest dose given for this kind of pain? Just to be aware, you know.

Don't go playing pharmacist at home, buddy! For nerve pain, the dose is usually much lower than what they use for depression, maybe around 50mg to 75mg max. But let your doc do the math unless you want to sleep for three days straight!

For my leg nerve pain, my cousin told me to apply warm mustard oil daily, but my neurologist prescribed this tablet. The maximum dose is determined by the doctor based on your tolerance levels, so please stick strictly to their prescription.

At our age, nerves start sending mixed signals like confused traffic lights. The max dose for pain is usually low, but don't increase it yourself or you will be walking around like a zombie. Let the doctor handle the tuning!

I tried all kinds of herbal oils and warm compresses for my sciatica nerve pain, but sometimes proper medicine is necessary. However, since this is a strong neuro-medicine, you must never self-adjust the dose. Please let your doctor decide.
