What is the function of kidney in urinary system?

Following up on a recent discussion about kidney health, I'm trying to understand the whole urinary system better. Specifically, what's the role of the kidney within that system? How does it contribute to making urine and all that?

I used to worry so much about every little change in my body, especially when I had a urinary tract infection. But the kidneys are essentially the main filters in the urinary system. They clean your blood and turn waste into urine. It's a fundamental process, thankfully, not as mysterious as I once thought!

Haha, the kidney's job in the urinary system? It's basically the VIP bouncer that checks everyone entering (blood) and kicks out the bad guys (waste) while letting the good guys (clean blood) stay! All the filtered waste then becomes urine. So, a very important job, definitely not just chilling out!

Hello, I'm trying to understand how our body works. So, the kidneys are like the start of the urinary system then? Do they only make urine, or do they do other things too before that? Thanks for explaining.

I totally get wanting to know these basics! In the urinary system, the kidneys are like the master purifiers. They filter all the waste products and excess water from your blood, turning it into urine. This urine then travels down to the bladder to be eliminated. They're essential for keeping your whole body clean.

Beta, the kidneys in our urinary system are like a very important filter. They clean our blood of all impurities and extra water, and then that waste goes out as urine. Keeping them healthy with enough water and good food is crucial. Our ancestors believed in clean living for a clean body, and this is why.
