What is the fever temperature range?

My son has been feeling a bit warm since morning, but I'm not sure if it's actually a fever or just a bit of a cold. What's considered the normal temperature range, and when does it become a fever that needs attention?

For adults, a fever generally starts at 100.4°F (38°C) and above. Low-grade fever is usually up to 101-102°F. If it goes higher, like 103°F or more, that's when you really need to be careful and call the doctor. I've seen many fevers in my lifetime, and knowing these numbers helps you decide when to worry and when to just rest.

Normal body temp is around 98.6°F (37°C), right? So, fever usually starts when it goes above 100.4°F (38°C). Like, anything above that is technically fever. If it hits 102-103°F, then you know it's time for some serious meds and bed rest. Anything beyond that and you gotta see a doc.

So, is it always 100.4°F that's considered a fever? What if someone feels really bad even at, say, 99.5°F? Does the feeling matter more, or only the number? I'm still trying to understand all this.

I used to panic if my temperature was even 99°F! But then I learned that a true fever for adults is usually 100.4°F (38°C) or higher. Anything below that is often just a slight elevation. Of course, if it goes really high, like above 103°F, or you feel very unwell, don't wait. But knowing the actual range can save you a lot of unnecessary worry.

Haan na, normal temperature toh 98.6°F ke aas paas hota hai. Aur fever bolte hain jab 100.4°F (38°C) se upar ho jaaye. Zyada high agar 103°F tak jaaye, toh phir doctor ko dikhana padta hai. Itna yaad rakhne se thoda easy hota hai deal karna.

A normal body temperature is approximately 98.6°F (37°C). Generally, a fever is considered when the temperature reaches 100.4°F (38°C) or higher. High-grade fevers can go up to 103°F or more, which warrants medical attention. For quick reference, always keep a reliable thermometer at home.
