What is the fever temperature for newborns?

My baby is just two months old and I'm so worried about him catching a fever. What temperature should I be concerned about for such a small baby? My mother-in-law says to just check his forehead, but I want to be sure.

Oh, newborns and fever, that's a scary time for new parents! From my experience, anything above 100.4°F (38°C) rectally is considered a fever for a baby under 3 months. It's always best to call the doctor immediately, don't try to guess. They're so tiny, better to be safe.

My newborn had a fever once and I was an emotional wreck. Anything above 100.4°F (38°C) rectally for babies under 3 months old is usually considered a fever and needs immediate medical attention. It's so overwhelming when they're so little and can't tell you what's wrong. You're not alone in feeling anxious about this.

For newborns, a rectal temperature of 100.4°F (38°C) or higher is considered a fever and requires immediate medical attention. It's very different from adult fevers. While adults might try to 'sweat it out' with light activity, for babies, it's strictly about professional medical care. No exercises for babies when they're feverish, obviously!

For a newborn (under 3 months), a rectal temperature of 100.4°F (38°C) or higher is classified as a fever and warrants immediate contact with a pediatrician. This is a critical threshold, and you shouldn't delay seeking medical advice. Don't try to manage it at home.

For tiny newborns, a rectal temp of 100.4°F (38°C) or above is considered fever and it's a serious matter. Usually, I suggest home remedies for small issues, but with a newborn and fever, you absolutely MUST call the doctor right away. No experimenting with home remedies here; only professional medical advice. They are too fragile.

For newborns aged 0-3 months, a rectal temperature of 100.4°F (38°C) or higher is considered a fever and is a medical emergency. It's crucial to contact your pediatrician immediately in such cases, even if the baby doesn't appear very sick. Self-medication or delayed action can have serious consequences for infants.

Newborn fever? Oh, that's when you turn into a panic monster! 😂 But seriously, for babies under 3 months, if their rectal temperature hits 100.4°F (38°C) or higher, it's straight to the doc. Don't try to be a super-parent and Google remedies, just call your pediatrician. Better safe than sorry, and less scary that way!
