What is the fever score?

My doctor asked me about my 'fever score' during my last visit, and I wasn't really sure what he meant by that. Is there a specific scoring system for fever that doctors use? What is the fever score?

The term 'fever score' isn't a standard medical diagnostic tool like a blood pressure reading. It might refer to a specific research scale or an informal way to gauge symptoms severity. If you're concerned about fever, the most important thing is the actual temperature reading and associated symptoms. Always consult a medical professional for accurate assessment.

A fever score isn't something I've heard of in practical terms for everyday fever. We usually just look at the temperature reading and how the person is feeling. If it's high, above 100-101F, and you're feeling very ill, take some paracetamol and rest. If it doesn't get better, then you go to the doctor. Simple.

Fever score is not a common term, beta. What's important is the actual temperature and how you feel. If it's 100F or more, that's fever. Rest, drink plenty of water, and take Crocin or something similar. If it crosses 102-103F and stays for more than a day, then you must see the doctor. Don't worry about 'scores', just focus on getting better.

Bhai, 'fever score' aisa kuch toh maine nahi suna. Hum log toh bas tapman dekhte hain aur body mein kitna dard hai. Agar zyada garmi lag rahi hai aur bahut takleef ho rahi, toh doctor ke paas chale jaate hain. Aap chinta mat karo, bas apna khayal rakho.

There's no standardized 'fever score' that's universally used in clinical practice. Perhaps it's a term used in a specific research study or a symptom tracking app. For general purposes, temperature and accompanying symptoms are what matter. If you have concerns about a fever, just check your temp and consult a doctor.
