What is the difference between insulin resistance and diabetes?

My doctor mentioned I have insulin resistance, but my brother has diabetes. I'm worried if it means I'll get diabetes soon. What's actually the difference between insulin resistance and diabetes, doc?

Insulin resistance is when your body's cells don't respond well to insulin, so your pancreas has to pump out extra to keep sugars normal. Diabetes is the next stage where the pancreas can no longer keep up, and blood sugar levels shoot up dangerously. Please monitor your carb intake and get HbA1c tests done regularly.

Insulin resistance is basically the warning light on your car dashboard, and diabetes is when the engine actually breaks down. In resistance, your body is struggling to process sugar but managing, while in diabetes, sugar levels are officially high. I had to cut down on late-night junk food because of this.

I was diagnosed with severe insulin resistance last year and managed to reverse it before it turned into type 2 diabetes. Resistance means your body is ignoring insulin, but diabetes is when your blood sugar actually crosses the threshold. Lifestyle changes, daily walks, and cutting sugar completely saved me.

Bro, insulin resistance is the yellow signal where your body is producing too much insulin just to keep sugar normal. Diabetes is the red light where the system fails and your blood sugar is officially high. I had to fix my sleep and weight to get my insulin levels back to normal.

Insulin resistance is the pre-stage where your cells ignore insulin; diabetes is when blood sugar levels are chronically high. Get an fasting insulin and HbA1c test to know where you stand.

Insulin resistance is the initial stage where the body ignores insulin, while diabetes is when blood glucose is elevated. My family always recommended drinking methi water in the morning, which is good, but you must consult an endocrinologist for proper testing and medical guidance.

Do not rely on random online forums telling you that certain herbs can cure insulin resistance or diabetes. Resistance is a physiological state of reduced tissue sensitivity to insulin, while diabetes is diagnosed via strict clinical blood sugar thresholds. Please consult a qualified endocrinologist for a proper treatment protocol.
