What is the cause of psoriasis disease?

My skin has been very red and flaky in patches for months, especially on my elbows and scalp. My cousin, who has similar patches, suggested it might be psoriasis. What causes this skin condition?

Psoriasis is actually an autoimmune condition, meaning your immune system mistakenly attacks healthy skin cells. It's not contagious at all. Triggers can be stress, infections, certain meds, etc. I use a skin tracking app sometimes to monitor flare-ups and it helps me see patterns.

Look, with something like psoriasis, please don't just read random stuff online and try remedies. It's a proper medical condition. You need to see a dermatologist for an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan. Self-treating can make it worse, honestly.

Beta, psoriasis is a complicated skin problem. Sometimes people say it's stress or something from within the body. My neighbor's son had it, and he used to apply some special oils recommended by an Ayurvedic vaidya, along with his doctor's medicines. Always ask your doctor before trying anything, haan.

It's totally normal to feel worried or confused about conditions like psoriasis, especially when you don't know the cause. From what I've read, it's an immune system thing and can be genetic too. Understanding it helps to manage the anxiety around it.

Oh, psoriasis? My chacha's son has it. He told me it's not like, 'catching' it from somewhere. It's more like your body's own system kinda goes haywire. Like, stress can make it worse for him. Dunno much beyond that, but it's not contagious for sure.

Bhai, psoriasis is genetic for many people. My cousin has it, and his doc told him it's about his immune system. Stress is a big trigger for him. He tries to avoid it and sticks to his prescribed creams. No quick fix, man.

I was just looking this up the other day! It's an autoimmune condition where skin cells multiply too fast. They say genetics play a big role, but also environmental triggers like certain medicines, infections, or even smoking can make it flare up. Interesting but also scary, right?

Psoriasis is a chronic autoimmune condition where skin cells build up rapidly on the skin's surface. It's not fully understood why it happens, but it's thought to be a combination of genetic predisposition and environmental factors like infections, stress, or certain medications. Best to consult a dermatologist for proper diagnosis and management.
