What is the blood test for eosinophilic asthma?

My cousin was recently diagnosed with something called eosinophilic asthma, which sounds different from regular asthma. What kind of blood test is typically done to diagnose eosinophilic asthma?

Haan, iske liye doctor main toh Absolute Eosinophil Count (AEC) test likhte hain na. Ye ek normal blood test hota hai jo blood mein eosinophils ka level batata hai. Agar breathe karne mein zyada takleef ho toh bina deri ke doctor ko dikhana chahiye.

My cousin had severe breathing issues and the doctor made him get a Complete Blood Count (CBC) with an absolute eosinophil count test. His eosinophil levels were super high which confirmed the asthma type. If you are having heavy chest tightness, please go to a clinic immediately.

For eosinophilic asthma, they usually do a simple blood test called the Absolute Eosinophil Count (AEC). My grandmother suggested some herbal steam, but my pulmonologist at Apollo clearly said we must trust the blood reports and use inhalers correctly. Please see a chest specialist soon if you have breathing trouble.

I manage my thyroid with regular blood tests, and I know how important accurate lab work is for diagnosis. For this type of asthma, a blood test measuring your eosinophil levels (AEC) is key. If you are experiencing shortness of breath or persistent coughing, get tested and follow up with a specialist.

I panicked so much when my doctor ordered an absolute eosinophil count test, thinking it was something very dangerous. But it turned out to be a simple, routine blood draw that helped the doctor adjust my inhaler dose. If you are feeling tight in the chest, just get the test done, it is very standard.
