What is the best way to get rid of fever?

My little son caught a fever yesterday, and even after giving paracetamol, it's not coming down completely. I'm trying home remedies too, but I'm worried. What's the best way to quickly and safely get rid of a fever in a child?

Rest, fluids, and paracetamol if it's high. Always see a doctor if it persists.

For fever, it's really important to identify the cause, especially if it's high or lasts long. My doctor at Max Hospital always advises plenty of rest, fluids, and maybe an antipyretic like paracetamol if necessary. But if there are other symptoms or if it doesn't come down, please consult a physician. Self-medication can mask serious issues.

Haan na, fever toh bada annoying hota hai! Normally, thoda rest, bahut saara paani peena, aur ek paracetamol se theek ho jaata hai. But agar bohot tez hai ya baar baar aa raha hai, toh doctor ko dikhana hi best hai, haan.

Dekho bhai, fever ke liye sabse pehle toh ghar pe rest karo. Paani bahut piyo, light khana khao. Agar bukhar utarta nahi hai ya bahut zyada hai, toh bina soche samjhe doctor ke paas jaao. Dawa khud se decide mat karo, bohot important hai yeh.

Please, if you have a fever, don't ignore it like I once did with a persistent cough that turned out to be more serious. The 'best way' is to rest, drink lots of fluids, and if it's high or doesn't go away, see a doctor immediately. It's not worth taking a chance with your health.

For fever, my mother always gave us a warm bath and light food like kanji. It usually brought the temperature down. But if it's very high or you feel really sick, please consult a doctor. They can check if it is something more serious and prescribe proper medicine. Trust your doctor.

Fever is usually a sign your body is fighting something. I always make sure to drink plenty of fluids – water, ORS, fresh juices – and get good rest. If it's above 100-101 F, I take a paracetamol. But if it lingers for more than a day or two, or gets very high, don't wait, see a doctor. Could be dengue or something else.

When I have a fever, I focus on very light, easy-to-digest vegetarian food like khichdi or vegetable soup. Staying hydrated with plain water, lime water, or coconut water is also key. But for managing the fever itself, if it's high, a doctor-prescribed medicine like paracetamol is usually needed. And rest, lots of rest.
