What is the best thing to eat after vomiting?

I had a stomach bug yesterday and was vomiting a lot. Now I'm feeling weak and light-headed. What is generally the best thing to eat after vomiting to help recover?

After vomiting, my mother always used to give me kanji (rice gruel) or idli. Something very light and easy to digest. But if it's severe or persistent, please see a doctor. They might recommend ORS and specific dietary guidance.

Stick to bland and easily digestible foods. Plain rice, toast, or a banana are good options. Hydrate well.

Plain foods are best, and thankfully they're usually cheap! Simple dal chawal (without too much spice), khichdi, or just plain curd. Focus on rehydrating with water or lemonade. No need for expensive health drinks, basic is best when your stomach is upset.

Been there, done that! Honestly, after vomiting, your stomach needs gentle things. I usually stick to bland foods like plain toast, banana, or curd rice. Avoid anything spicy or oily for a day or two. Hydration with water or coconut water is also super important.

Definitely rehydrate first, electrolytes are important. After that, bland carbohydrates like rice or boiled potatoes are good to get some energy back without upsetting your stomach. Avoid heavy proteins or fats for a while. Listen to your body and don't rush back into heavy meals.

When you've just vomited, your stomach is very delicate. Don't force anything. Small sips of water, then maybe some thin gruel or curd. Gradually, you can introduce a little bread or rice. Patience is key, let your body recover slowly.
