What is the best drug for arthritis pain?

My mother has been suffering from severe arthritis pain for years. The pain killers she takes sometimes upset her stomach. Can anyone suggest what is the best drug for arthritis pain that is also gentle?

For arthritis pain, honestly, you cannot self-prescribe drugs. It's very important to see a rheumatologist. They will assess your type of arthritis and then recommend the best medication. Sometimes it's just basic painkillers, other times it's more specific ones. Don't experiment.

I'm just curious about this, but isn't there a risk with pain meds for arthritis, like stomach issues? My dadi takes some meds but she also complains about acidity. Is there a drug that is generally safer or more effective for most people?

If there was one 'best' drug, doctors would be out of business, no? 😉 Arthritis pain is tricky, everyone's body is different. So, unless you're a doctor, best to let one prescribe what's right for you. Don't play chemist at home!

My family usually suggests turmeric milk and warm oil massages for joint pain. But for arthritis, which is a proper condition, my doctor always says to follow the prescribed medicine. Sometimes it's NSAIDs, sometimes other specific drugs. You must consult a specialist for exact guidance.

I know how debilitating arthritis pain can be. I tried so many home remedies before finally seeing a doctor. For actual relief, my doctor prescribed some anti-inflammatory medicines. It's different for everyone, so a doctor's diagnosis and prescription are essential. Please don't suffer needlessly.
