What is swine fever?

Someone mentioned 'swine fever' in relation to pork, and now I'm a bit concerned about eating it. Is it something that affects pigs and can also affect people if we eat contaminated meat?

I always get so anxious reading about these animal-related diseases! Swine fever is a highly contagious viral disease affecting pigs, not humans, but it still sounds so scary. Let's stay safe and keep our surroundings clean.

Don't confuse African Swine Fever with human swine flu. Swine fever does not affect humans, but please verify any such medical news with a veterinary expert or a doctor rather than reading random rumors.

From what I understand, swine fever is a viral disease in pigs and doesn't infect humans. It's always good to read carefully and not panic over health news.

It is actually a virus that affects pigs, yaar, not humans. People often mix it up with swine flu which did affect humans, so don't get confused.

My family was worried about this, but our doctor clearly explained that swine fever only affects pigs and cannot be transmitted to humans. It is always best to trust medical experts on these matters.

I am a bit confused, is swine fever different from swine flu? I hope it doesn't cause any food safety issues for us.

If you are concerned about any viral outbreaks in your area, please ask a doctor at a good hospital clearly. They can explain the difference between animal diseases and human health risks.

I read about this during my college bio class. It's purely an animal disease, zero risk to humans, so no need to stress at all.
