What is stroke play vs match play?

My friends were discussing different golf formats, specifically 'stroke play vs match play'. What are the differences between these two, and does one offer more physical activity than the other?

These are golf terms! Stroke play is about counting your total shots for the entire course, lowest score wins. Match play is competing hole-by-hole against another player. Neither has anything to do with medical stroke. For health, especially with diabetes, focus on diet and regular check-ups to prevent actual medical strokes.

Oh, this is for golf, my dears, not health. Stroke play is when you add up all your hits for the whole game. Match play is when you play against one other person, hole by hole. It's like in life, sometimes you compete against yourself, sometimes against others. Just enjoy the game, whatever it is!

Ho na, 'stroke play' mein aap poore course ke liye total shots count karte ho. Aur 'match play' mein aap ek dusre player ke against har hole pe compete karte ho. Dono golf ke terms hain, apne health 'stroke' se iska koi lena dena nahi hai, haan na.

Stroke play and match play are both formats in golf. One counts total shots for the game, the other is winning individual holes. It's important to understand the distinctions in all aspects of life. Stay positive and take care of your body and mind, as that's truly important for your well-being.

As someone who enjoys golf, I can tell you the difference is fundamental. Stroke play is about your overall score for the entire round – lowest total strokes wins. Match play is about winning individual holes against an opponent; whoever wins more holes wins the match. Two distinct ways to compete on the course.
