What is stage 2 prostate cancer?

My friend's father was just diagnosed with prostate cancer, and they mentioned it's stage 2. I'm trying to understand what that actually means for him and his treatment options. Is it serious?

Yaar, stage 2 prostate cancer means the cancer is still only in the prostate gland, like it hasn't spread outside of it. But actually, it's grown a bit bigger than stage 1 and might be detectable by a doctor during an exam. Still, it's considered localized, so good chances of treatment.

Haan, stage 2 prostate cancer means the cancer cells are still inside the prostate gland only, ho na? They haven't gone outside. But it's larger than stage 1. It's important to see a specialist for treatment. My uncle had this, and he's doing good now after treatment.

My dad was diagnosed with stage 2 prostate cancer a few years back. It meant the tumor was bigger than the really early stage, but it was still totally contained within the prostate. They did surgery, and he's fine now. Early detection for these things is key, especially for men.

I was treated for stage 2 prostate cancer about five years ago. It means the cancer is still confined to the prostate, but it's larger or in multiple parts of the gland. It was caught during a routine check-up. The treatment was successful, and I've been well since. Regular screening is a lifesaver.

Hearing 'cancer' at any stage is unsettling, and stage 2 sounds quite serious. But it's important to remember that for prostate cancer, stage 2 means it's still localized within the prostate. It hasn't spread. It's absolutely valid to feel anxious, but please channel that into getting the best medical advice and a treatment plan.
