What is spinal cord tb?

My relative was diagnosed with 'spinal cord TB'. I was shocked to hear this. What exactly is spinal cord TB, and how does it affect the body? Is it a common form of tuberculosis?

Haan, spinal cord TB is serious. It's when TB bacteria attacks your spine, na. It can cause a lot of pain and even damage if not treated fast. Don't ignore any back pain if it's severe or lasting.

Ho na, spinal cord TB sounds really scary. It's basically TB that affects your bones in the spine. My uncle had some bone TB, not spine, but still needed long treatment. Pls see a doctor for any persistent pain.

Ugh, spinal cord TB sounds really bad. Like, TB in your backbone? That's intense. Hope nobody here has to deal with something like that. Always go to the doc if your back hurts more than usual.

Spinal cord TB is a very serious form of tuberculosis. My mother always said to be careful about persistent backache. It means the TB infection has reached the spine. Please, please get a thorough check-up with a good doctor if you have any doubts.

Spinal cord TB is essentially extrapulmonary TB affecting the vertebral column. Symptoms include back pain, stiffness, and sometimes neurological deficits. Diagnosis is crucial and involves imaging and biopsy. Treatment is similar to pulmonary TB but often longer.

My neighbour's son had a form of bone TB, not exactly spinal cord, but it was really serious. They had to go for a long treatment. What I learned is, for such things, don't waste time, go to a specialist right away.

I had a friend who got spinal TB, and it was quite complicated because it was diagnosed late. It leads to severe back pain and can affect mobility. PLEASE see a doctor immediately if you have any worrying symptoms, it's not something to self-diagnose.
