What is sober sleep?

I'm trying to cut down on alcohol, and a friend suggested 'sober sleep' to help with my sleep quality. What exactly is sober sleep? Does it just mean sleeping without alcohol, or is there more to it?

Sober sleep is simply sleeping without alcohol or sleeping pills in your system. My fitness band shows that my REM and deep sleep cycles are way better on sober nights compared to when I have even one drink.

It basically means sleeping naturally without relying on substances. I try to maintain this to keep my hormones balanced, though it can be hard at first if you're used to sleeping aids.

Going to bed sober is the best way for your muscles to recover. If you struggle to fall asleep naturally, try a 30-minute brisk walk in the evening to tire your body out safely.

In our traditional way, we call this peaceful, natural sleep. Drinking a glass of warm milk with a pinch of nutmeg before bed is a safe way to help your body relax naturally.

Getting natural, sober sleep can be tough if you've had a habit of using relaxants. I found that a cup of warm chamomile tea and a simple foot massage before bed works wonders.

Sober sleep is basically the holy grail of waking up without a headache! At my age, even a late-night tea can ruin sleep, so sleeping completely clean is highly recommended.
