What is sleep walk?

My younger sister sometimes gets up and walks around in her sleep, and my mother says she's 'sleepwalking'. I want to understand what exactly sleepwalking is and if it's something to be worried about. Is it common or does it indicate something serious?

I literally just got treated for this last month. It's when you get up and walk around while you are still completely asleep, and it can be quite scary. Fixing my sleep hygiene and reducing stress worked wonders for me.

Haan, isko somnambulism bhi bolte hain. Banda neend mein hi chalne lagta hai aur use subah kuch yaad nahi rehta. Kafi dhyan rakhna padta hai ghar pe taaki chot na lage, haina.

I used to sleepwalk a lot during my college exams. I'd wake up in the living room without realizing how I got there. It stopped once I sorted out my sleep schedule and stopped staying up till 4 AM.

It's like your body decides to go on a midnight adventure while your brain is still snoring! Don't worry too much, just make sure to keep the main door locked so you don't go wandering around the colony.

My fitness band showed highly fragmented deep sleep during the phases when I used to sleepwalk. Improving your sleep environment and tracking your rest times can really help pinpoint when these episodes trigger.

It happens when the body is active but the mind is in deep rest. Keep a peaceful atmosphere in your bedroom before sleeping, and try a few minutes of meditation to calm your nerves. God bless.

I read that sleepwalking can sometimes lead to injuries if you trip or try to open windows, which makes me so anxious. Please make sure the bedroom floor is clear of any sharp objects just to be safe.

My roommate does this sometimes and it freaks me out! She just stands up, walks to the desk, and goes back to bed. Honestly, it's mostly due to crazy stress and lack of sleep during exams.
