What is sleep mode on android?

I recently got a new Android phone, and I saw a 'sleep mode' setting. Is it just for silencing calls and messages, or does it also help with battery life or anything else specific to Android?

It is a super cool feature that turns your screen grayscale and pauses notifications. It basically tells your brain that it is time to relax and sleep. I use it every night and it works like a charm!

It is a built-in feature on Android phones, previously called Bedtime Mode. It silences your calls and turns the screen black and white so you aren't tempted to stay up. Try setting it up, it really helps you disconnect peacefully.

When my anxiety was at its peak, every single ping on my phone would give me palpitations at night. Finding the Android sleep mode was a lifesaver because it completely quieted the digital noise. It really helps calm the mind.

On Android, you can find this under Digital Wellbeing settings. It syncs beautifully with sleep tracking apps, dimming your display and enabling Do Not Disturb based on your set sleeping hours. It's highly recommended for a better routine.

I didn't know Android had this feature. Does it automatically turn off in the morning, or do we have to manually disable it every day? I really want to try it to reduce my late-night screen time.
