What is sleep insomnia?

I've been struggling to fall asleep almost every night for months now, sometimes it takes hours. My friend told me it might be 'sleep insomnia'. Can someone explain what that means?

I was actually reading about this yesterday because my sleep cycle is totally ruined. Insomnia is basically when you struggle to fall asleep, or you keep waking up through the night and can't go back to sleep. It feels so frustrating to just stare at the ceiling.

Insomnia is basically me counting sheep, then counting my life choices, and then realizing it is 4 AM and I have to work in three hours. It's the absolute worst when your body is exhausted but your brain decides to host a party.

Insomnia is a real sleep killer. If your doctor permits, try adding a 30-minute brisk walk or some light evening workouts to your routine. Burning off that physical energy during the day has seriously helped me fall asleep much faster at night.

Please don't go trying random home remedies or sleep gummies you see on social media for insomnia. Sleep issues can be linked to stress, thyroid, or other medical issues. It is always best to consult a real doctor to get to the root of the problem.

Hello, I am new here and have been struggling to sleep lately. Is insomnia always a major illness, or can it just happen because of stress during exam season? I would love to know how you guys handle it.

Insomnia is a very common issue where your sleep quality gets badly affected. Over the years, I've seen many people benefit just by fixing their sleep hygiene, like keeping phones away 1 hour before bed. Don't worry, start with small routine changes and it will improve.
