What is sleep apena?

My wife complains that I snore very loudly and sometimes stop breathing for a few seconds in my sleep. Someone told her it might be 'sleep apena'. What is this condition exactly?

It is a condition where your breathing repeatedly stops and starts while you are asleep, often causing loud snoring. I used to wake up choking and feeling tired all day. I recently got diagnosed, started using a CPAP machine as advised by my doctor, and my energy is finally back.

This is a serious breathing issue during sleep that should not be ignored. While sleeping on your side instead of your back and keeping your head elevated can help ease the airway slightly, you must see a chest specialist for proper treatment.

It is a sleep disorder affecting your breathing, often linked to excess weight. Managing your weight through a clean, light vegetarian diet and eating dinner at least three hours before sleeping can help reduce the pressure on your airways, but definitely consult a doctor too.

It is a condition where breathing becomes uneven during the night, which disturbs your peace and sleep. Stay positive, eat light, and try doing gentle pranayama under guidance during the day to strengthen your lungs, while seeking medical advice.

Please take this very seriously as it is a dangerous condition where your brain doesn't get enough oxygen during sleep. I ignored my heavy snoring and gasping for years, which eventually led to severe high blood pressure and heart strain. Go to a hospital and get a sleep study done immediately.
