What is radiating pain?

I've been having this weird pain in my lower back that sometimes goes all the way down my leg. My cousin said it might be 'radiating pain'. Can someone explain what that means and if it's serious?

Listen, radiating pain is pain that starts in one spot and travels to another area, like back pain moving down your leg. Don't panic, but please don't ignore it either. Get it checked by a proper doctor so you can get the right relief soon.

Look, if the pain is traveling from one part of your body to another, that's what radiating pain is. It usually means a nerve is getting squeezed somewhere. Stop searching online and go see an orthopedic doctor today itself.

I had terrible radiating pain down my left leg due to a slipped disc last year. It felt like a current passing through my leg. After a few sessions of physiotherapy and doctor's advice, I am completely fine now, so hang in there.

Oh my god, I have been feeling this sharp pain going from my neck down to my right hand. Is this what you mean by radiating pain? It is so scary, does anyone else feel this shooting sensation?

In our days, we called it nerve pain. A gentle warm compress or some mustard oil massage can give temporary relief. But since the pain is spreading, you must consult a specialist to find the root cause, beta.

My grandmother used to suggest hot fermentation for such spreading pains, which helps temporarily. However, we always trust our family physician's diagnosis for nerve-related issues. Please visit a doctor for proper guidance.

This kind of pain usually indicates that a nerve is irritated at the source, like in your spine. I have seen many people manage it successfully with timely medical treatment and physical therapy. Do book an appointment with a specialist soon.

Radiating pain often happens due to nerve compression or muscle tightness. If your doctor permits, light stretching or walking can help relieve some pressure. But never force any exercise if the pain increases while doing it.

Please don't try random massage videos from YouTube for radiating pain. It can make a pinched nerve much worse. Go to a certified neurologist or ortho doctor and get a proper MRI done.

Man, I got this weird traveling pain in my shoulder after gaming for 8 hours straight. That is radiating pain, basically pain moving along your nerve path. Definitely taking a break and seeing a doctor if it doesn't stop.
