What is pcos diagnosis?

I've been having irregular periods and some other symptoms, and my doctor suggested I might have PCOS. What's involved in getting a proper PCOS diagnosis? What tests do they usually do?

For PCOS diagnosis, doctors usually look at your symptoms like irregular periods, excess hair growth, and then do blood tests for hormone levels and an ultrasound to check ovaries. It's a holistic assessment. Gentle yoga and pranayama can help manage the stress around diagnosis too.

They mostly check your periods, if they are regular or not. Then they do blood tests for hormones and also an ultrasound to see if there are small cysts on your ovaries. Don't get scared, many women get diagnosed and manage it well with simple lifestyle changes.

Basically, it's not just one test. My gynaec checked my symptoms, did blood tests for my hormones, and then an ultrasound for my ovaries. It takes a few things to get a proper diagnosis. Don't worry, once you know, it's easier to manage!

For PCOS diagnosis, doctors generally check symptoms, hormone levels through blood tests, and an ultrasound of the ovaries. Once diagnosed, if the doctor gives a go-ahead, even regular walks and moderate exercise can help a lot in managing the condition, alongside medical advice.

Hey, it's usually a combination of things. Doctors look for at least two out of three criteria: irregular periods, high androgen levels (which can show as excess hair or acne), and polycystic ovaries on an ultrasound. Don't stress, they'll guide you through the process.

From what I've researched, they usually use something called the Rotterdam criteria. It involves checking for irregular periods, high androgen signs, and whether you have cysts on your ovaries as seen in an ultrasound. It's not just one test, they put everything together.

PCOS ka pata lagane ke liye, doctor aapke mahine ka chakkar dekhenge, fir khoon ki jaanch karayenge hormones ke liye. Ultrasound bhi karte hain ande daniyon ko dekhne ke liye. Bas, doctor jo kahe, wahi sunna, beta.
