What is osteo arthritis?

My knees have been hurting quite a bit lately, especially in the mornings. My neighbour, who is a retired nurse, said it sounds like 'osteoarthritis'. I just want to understand what exactly this condition is.

Osteoarthritis is a type of arthritis where the cartilage that cushions the ends of your bones wears down over time. It can cause pain, stiffness, and swelling in joints, mostly in knees, hips, and hands. It's a common condition, especially as we age. Like with PCOS, managing it involves a multi-faceted approach, so consult a doctor for a proper treatment plan.

Osteoarthritis is essentially wear-and-tear arthritis, where the protective cartilage on the ends of your bones gradually breaks down. I've been managing it in my knees for years. It causes joint pain, stiffness, and sometimes swelling. Regular, gentle exercise like swimming or walking, maintaining a healthy weight, and certain pain management therapies really help. It's a chronic condition, so consistent management with your doctor is key.

Yaar, osteoarthritis, it's actually like your joints' cushion, the cartilage, getting worn out over time. Mostly older people get it, but sometimes younger too if there's injury. My uncle has it in his knees. It causes pain and stiffness, especially in the morning. Doc says keep moving, but gently, and manage weight.

I totally get that joint pain can be really debilitating and confusing. Osteoarthritis is a common type of arthritis where the protective cartilage in your joints breaks down over time, causing pain, stiffness, and sometimes swelling. It often affects hands, knees, hips, and spine. It's important to get it properly diagnosed and managed.

Osteoarthritis, haan, many in my generation suffer from it. It's when the soft cushion between your bones, the cartilage, gets worn away. My knees used to ache a lot because of it. It's a natural part of aging sometimes, but with proper care like gentle exercise and keeping a good weight, the pain can be managed. Don't lose hope.

Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease where the cartilage wears down, leading to pain and stiffness. For me, managing diabetes means being extra careful about inflammation, which can worsen joint issues. Maintaining a healthy weight is crucial, and a diet low in processed foods and sugars can help manage inflammation. Always consult your doctor for a complete management plan for both conditions.
