What is non alcoholic fatty liver disease?

My brother was diagnosed with 'non-alcoholic fatty liver disease' recently. He doesn't drink at all, so this is confusing. What is this condition?

Hearing 'fatty liver' can sound really scary, and it's totally okay to feel anxious about it. I remember how worried I was when I first heard a health term I didn't understand. But Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) means fat builds up in your liver, but it's not due to alcohol. It's often linked to lifestyle. The good news is, it's manageable, and knowing about it is the first step.

Bhagwan sab bhala karenge.

I've heard this term but don't quite understand. Is it very serious? And what kinds of symptoms do people usually notice if they have it? I'm trying to learn more about keeping healthy.

I can only share what I've seen in my family. My cousin was diagnosed with NAFLD. It means fat was accumulating in his liver, but he didn't drink alcohol. The doctor advised him to change his diet and exercise more. I can't give medical advice, but his health definitely improved with those changes. Always talk to a medical professional.

So, Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease, or NAFLD, is basically when your liver has too much fat, but it's not caused by drinking alcohol. It's pretty common these days, mostly due to diet and lack of exercise. The good news is, it's often reversible with lifestyle changes, especially losing weight and eating healthier. It's your body giving you a signal to take better care of it.

NAFLD is actually very common among people with diabetes and those who are overweight. It means there's excess fat in your liver, not from alcohol. For me, managing my blood sugar and watching what I eat (less processed food, fewer sugary drinks) is crucial for both diabetes and preventing fatty liver from worsening. It's all about making healthier choices for your long-term health.

Haan, NAFLD matlab liver mein fat jama ho jaata hai, but not because of too much drinking, na? Yeh toh usually wrong eating habits aur sedentary lifestyle ki wajah se hota hai. Mere uncle ko bhi hua tha. Doctor ne weight loss aur healthy diet bataya tha, usse bahut theek ho gaye woh.
