What is metastatic lung cancer?

My neighbour has been battling lung cancer for a while, and now they've informed him it's 'metastatic lung cancer.' I want to understand what this term implies about the stage and spread of the disease. Can someone explain?

Metastatic lung cancer means the cancer started in the lung and then spread to other parts of the body. My uncle had lung issues, and his doc always stressed regular checkups. If a doctor allows, even light exercise like walking can help with general well-being during treatment.

Oh, another one of these big scary words. Basically, lung cancer decided it didn't like staying put and went on a holiday to other organs, from what I understand. At my age, I just hope my body stays put and doesn't plan any internal excursions without telling me first!

This is a very serious medical condition, so please, no internet home remedies for this. 'Metastatic' means the cancer has spread. You absolutely must consult an oncologist or a specialist for an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan. Don't rely on random advice online for such critical health issues.

My neighbour's dad had this a few years back. It meant the cancer cells from his lungs had traveled to other parts of his body. It was a very challenging time for their family, with lots of treatments and difficult decisions. I just remember how much support he needed.

Aiyo, it means the cancer from the lung has spread to other body parts, ho na? It's a serious thing. So important to get proper medical advice, don't ignore any symptoms.
