What is mental health first aid training?

Our company is planning to offer a 'mental health first aid training' program for employees. I'm wondering what kind of things are taught in such training. Is it helpful for everyone, or just for specific roles?

This training teaches us how to share positive energy and support people who are struggling with deep emotional pain. It teaches you to listen with a pure heart and help them find peace. Take care of your mind, and god will bless you.

Don't stress, it is just a simple program to teach you how to be a supportive shield for someone in crisis. It teaches you how to handle panic attacks or trauma till professional help takes over. It's a great skill to have to protect your family and friends.

While taking this training is good, please remember you are still not a certified doctor after a short course. If you suspect someone is in a real emergency or has suicidal thoughts, don't try to handle it alone. Immediately get them checked by a doctor.

With the amount of stress my kids and job give me, I feel I need this training daily! Jokes aside, it basically teaches normal people how to not panic when someone else is having a mental breakdown. It is quite useful for HRs and managers nowadays.
