What is lumbar pain?

I've been having lower back pain for a few weeks, and a friend called it 'lumbar pain.' I'm trying to figure out what lumbar pain specifically refers to. Is it just general back pain or something more specific?

Lumbar pain is just a medical term for lower back pain. I suffered from this due to sitting for long hours at my IT job. For me, improving my sitting posture, doing light stretching, and using an ergonomic chair made a massive difference.

Lumbar pain humare lower back yaani kamar ke nichle hisse ka dard hota hai, haan. Yeh zyada der tak galat posture me baithne se ya heavy weight uthane se ho jata hai. Thodi heating pad lagao toh aaram milta hai, par jyada dard ho toh doctor ko dikhana na.

It means pain in the lower region of your spine, specifically the L1 to L5 vertebrae. It is very common and usually caused by muscle strain or bad posture. Rest for a day, apply a pain relief gel, but if you feel numbness in your legs, please see a doctor immediately.

I was reading my dad's checkup report and saw this term. Is lumbar pain something that can be cured completely with simple exercises, or does it require long-term treatment and medicines? If anyone has resolved this, please share.
