What is liver pain like?

I've been having some discomfort in my upper right abdomen recently. My friend suggested it might be 'liver pain'. What does liver pain usually feel like, so I can know if it matches my symptoms?

I totally get it, experiencing any kind of abdominal discomfort can make you feel so anxious and restless. For most people, liver-related discomfort feels like a dull, heavy ache in the upper right side of the stomach, just under the ribs. Please take care and try to rest while you figure this out.

Liver discomfort is typically a dull ache or fullness in the upper right quadrant of your abdomen, sometimes radiating to your back or shoulder. If you are busy and trying to ignore it, please don't. Book a quick doctor's appointment and get an ultrasound done to save time and get an accurate diagnosis.

In my experience with blood pressure and general health, liver strain usually presents as a slow, heavy pressure in the upper right belly. It is very important to get a regular health checkup and ultrasound to monitor this. Making lifestyle changes like reducing oil, salt, and avoiding self-medication is crucial.

If you are feeling a dull pain in the upper right stomach, it could be the liver or gallbladder. Don't go to expensive hospitals directly; you can get a basic liver function test (LFT) and abdominal ultrasound done at a local diagnostic lab for around 1500 to 2000 rupees. Take those reports to a government or budget-friendly doctor to save money.

Most users log liver pain as a dull, persistent ache in the upper right side of the abdomen, right below the rib cage. It can sometimes feel like bloating or muscle strain, but it doesn't go away with stretching. Keep track of when it happens on a health app and share that log with your doctor.

Please be very careful with any pain in the upper right stomach, especially if it is sharp, constant, or accompanied by fever, vomiting, or yellow eyes. I once ignored a similar ache and it turned into a severe liver infection that required emergency hospitalization. Do not wait or try home remedies; go see a doctor immediately.

I understand how uncomfortable that heavy, dull ache in the right side of the stomach can be. I tried drinking warm water with turmeric and avoiding fried food, which helped with general acidity and gas. But if the ache persists and feels deep under your ribs, please consult a proper doctor as home remedies have their limits.
