What is internal fever?

My wife sometimes complains of feeling feverish inside, even though her external body temperature is normal. She calls it 'internal fever'. Is this a real medical condition, or is it just a feeling?

Bro, I had this last month where my body felt super hot from inside but the thermometer showed normal 98.4 temperature. I was feeling totally weak and had body aches. It turned out to be exhaustion and a mild viral infection, went away with rest.

This feeling of hotness without actual high temperature is quite common, but it is best to consult a good specialist. I went to Apollo for this and they did some blood tests to rule out infections. Always get a professional opinion instead of guessing.

I know exactly what you mean, it feels like your bones are burning but skin feels normal. Usually, it happens when we are extremely tired, dehydrated, or when our immunity is fighting a small bug. Drink lots of coconut water and take proper sleep for a few days.

At my age, half the time I can't tell if it is internal fever, hot flashes, or just the Indian summer heat! Honestly, if I sit under the fan and drink cold water, it mostly gets better. But yes, the body aches make you feel like you are 90.

Please be careful with this, as sometimes an internal feverish feeling can be a sign of underlying issues like thyroid, low hemoglobin, or some infection. Don't ignore it if it lasts more than 3-4 days. Go to a clinic and get a routine checkup done.

My internal fever is just my body protesting because I slept for only 4 hours last night. When you don't sleep, your body temperature regulation goes for a toss and everything feels warm and heavy. Sleep is the only real cure for this, seriously.

I used to get this warm, exhausted feeling often before I was diagnosed with high blood pressure. Sometimes stress and lack of sleep make your body feel heated up. Please keep track of your BP and get your routine checkups done regularly.

Haha, that feeling when your mother puts her hand on your forehead, says 'koi fever nahi hai', but you feel like you are lava inside! Don't worry too much, it is usually just your body telling you to stop scrolling reels and go to sleep.
