What is infusion for arthritis?

My father's arthritis is quite severe now, and his doctor suggested trying 'infusion for arthritis'. I'm not familiar with this type of treatment. Could someone explain what it involves?

It's a way of delivering arthritis medication directly into your veins through an IV drip. Once the infusion controls your joint inflammation, it becomes much easier to resume light walking or stretching exercises, provided your doctor clears you for it.

It is a medical procedure where biologic drugs are given through an IV to target joint inflammation. I hope this treatment brings you some much-needed relief and comfort from the pain. Take care.

Instead of taking daily tablets which can sometimes upset your stomach, doctors give this medicine directly through an IV line at a clinic. It might take a few hours, but it often provides relief for several weeks or months, making it a very practical option for severe pain.

Hey, don't stress too much about the word 'infusion'. It's basically just a slow drip where you sit comfortably in a chair while the medicine goes in. Many people find it much more effective than regular pills for their joint pain.

I have been getting these infusions for my rheumatoid arthritis for two years now. Make sure you drink plenty of water before your appointment so they can find your veins easily. Bring a book or download some videos, as it takes around two to three hours.

My teenager had to start infusions because oral medicines weren't working enough for her juvenile arthritis. We go to the day-care ward every few weeks, and the nurses are very gentle. It has really helped her go back to school and normal life without severe joint pain.

Infusion therapy delivers targeted biologic drugs directly into the bloodstream to stop joint damage. I track my symptom-free days on an app, and I've noticed a significant improvement in my mobility levels after starting these sessions. It's a very advanced and precise way to manage arthritis.
