What is hydronephrosis in kidney?
My cousin was recently diagnosed with 'hydronephrosis in kidney'. We're all very concerned and trying to understand what this condition means for him. Is it very serious and what causes it?

It means urine is backing up into the kidney, causing swelling. If it is due to kidney stones, avoid high-oxalate foods like spinach and tomatoes. Drink plenty of filtered water, but get an ultrasound done first to find the exact cause.
