What is hrv sleep?

I've started using a fitness tracker, and it shows something called 'HRV sleep'. I'm trying to understand what HRV sleep is and why it's important. Does it tell me anything about my sleep quality?

HRV stands for Heart Rate Variability. When we sleep in deep peace, our heartbeat naturally varies, reflecting a balanced nervous system. Take care of your spirit, meditate before sleep, and your body will align.

It's basically your smart band telling you how stressed you are even while sleeping! Higher HRV means your body is recovering well. If it is low, maybe stop watching horror movies late at night, haha.

Look, it is just a metric that shows how well your heart recovers during sleep. A higher number is good. Don't stress too much about tracking every single point on your watch, just focus on getting 8 hours of solid rest.

Tracking HRV during sleep is a great way to see if your body has recovered from yesterday's workout. If my HRV is low, I just do a light walk instead of a heavy gym session. It really helps avoid overtraining.

It basically measures the variation in time between your heartbeats during sleep. A high HRV means you are well-rested and recovered.
