What is hepatitis a ab?

I recently got some blood tests done, and the report mentioned 'Hepatitis A Ab'. I'm not familiar with this term. Can someone explain what Hepatitis A Ab means?

Hepatitis A Ab actually stands for Hepatitis A Antibody! It is just a simple blood test to check if you have antibodies against the virus, which means you are protected either from a past infection or vaccine. Stay healthy and happy!

This test is standard for checking immunity before travel or vaccination. It's a quick blood draw and very helpful to know your defense status.

Don't be worried about the technical name. It is just a routine blood test used to check your immunity status against the Hepatitis A virus.

It stands for Hepatitis A Antibody test. Since I have thyroid issues and have to get blood tests done every few months, I always make sure my doctor reviews any liver panel tests like this too. Regular monitoring keeps everything safe.

My family always says to drink herbal juices for liver wellness, but for specific test terms like Hepatitis A Ab, I always trust my physician. He explained it is a protective antibody test. If it is positive, it usually means you are immune to the infection.

I was looking this up recently after my routine health checkup. It is basically the total antibody test for Hepatitis A to see if you are immune. It helps the doctor decide if you need a booster shot or not.

Look, 'Ab' simply means antibodies in medical terms. This test tells the doctor if your body has developed defense against Hepatitis A, either because you had it before or because you got the vaccine. No need to panic over the report.
