What is good for sciatic nerve pain?

My husband has been complaining of this sharp pain going down his leg for a few weeks now. The doctor said it's probably sciatic nerve pain. He's struggling with daily tasks, so I was hoping to find out what home remedies or exercises might help him feel better.

Sciatica can be really debilitating. Just like managing BP, it needs a disciplined approach. Regular, gentle stretching prescribed by a physio is crucial. And don't forget to keep your overall health in check; sometimes other conditions can worsen nerve pain.

Oh, sciatic pain is no joke! I suffered with it for months. The best thing is seeing a good physiotherapist for specific exercises. Heat packs on the lower back helped me a lot for temporary relief. Avoid prolonged sitting and make sure your posture is good, even while driving.

For sciatic pain, strengthening your core and glutes can make a big difference. But please, consult a doctor or a certified trainer first to make sure you're doing the right exercises without aggravating it. Proper form is everything. Also, a balanced diet supports overall recovery.

Yaar, sciatica is pure torture. My neighbour had it and was literally limping. He said actually, hot water bottle aur mild stretches jo physio ne bataye the, usse thoda relief mila. But haan, doctor ko dikhana is important, don't ignore it.

I remember how helpless I felt when I had sciatica. The constant pain can really bring you down emotionally. Please know you're not alone. It's okay to feel frustrated, but keep trying different treatments with your doctor. Sometimes even small improvements feel like a big win.
