What is good for fatty liver?

My recent health check-up showed I have a mild fatty liver, and my doctor suggested making some lifestyle changes. I want to know what kind of things are generally considered good for improving fatty liver condition. I'm open to natural remedies.

Honestly, for fatty liver, lifestyle changes are paramount but need to be consistent. Focus on reducing sugar and processed foods, and incorporating more veggies and whole grains. Daily brisk walking for 30-45 mins helps a lot. It's a long game, no quick fixes.

I have thyroid issues myself, and what I've learned is that regular check-ups are super important for anything chronic like fatty liver. My doctor always emphasizes getting blood tests done periodically to monitor progress. Don't just guess; follow up with your doctor.

When my report came back showing fatty liver, I totally freaked out, thought it was super serious. But my doctor reassured me that with discipline, it's very manageable and even reversible. Just stick to a healthy diet and exercise, and it will be fine. Don't panic like I did!

My gastroenterologist explained that the primary treatment for non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is weight loss, if you're overweight. He recommended avoiding refined carbohydrates, sugary drinks, and saturated fats. Exercise, even moderate, makes a huge difference. He also mentioned coffee can be protective, but check with your doctor first.

For liver, some people swear by giloy or amla juice, and reducing spicy food. But these are more for general liver health. If you have a diagnosed fatty liver, it's serious enough to need a proper medical plan. Home remedies might support, but can't replace a doctor's advice.
