What is good for diabetics to eat?

My father was recently diagnosed with diabetes, and we are trying to adjust his diet. We're a bit confused about what foods are truly good for him to eat regularly. Could you tell me about some healthy and suitable food options for diabetics?

As a vegetarian, I focus a lot on whole grains like jowar, bajra, and ragi. These are much better than refined flour. Also, lots of fresh veggies, especially green leafy ones. But please, everyone's body is different, so get a proper diet plan from a specialist.

Honestly, everyone here will give you different advice. My take? Don't blindly follow anything you read online, especially for something serious like diabetes. Your doctor or a proper dietitian will know your specific health condition best. Always cross-check with them.

Haan beta, diabetes mein khaane ka bahut dhyaan rakhna padta hai. Mere ghar pe karela ka juice subah lete hain kuch log, aur methi daana raat ko bhigo ke subah khaate hain. Yeh sab gharelu nuskhe hain, par apne doctor se puchh kar hi karna.

When I first got diagnosed, I panicked so much about what to eat. But it's not that complicated, honestly. Just focus on balanced meals, control your portions, and avoid anything processed. You'll get the hang of it, don't worry too much.

Simple rule: less sugar, less refined carbs, more fiber. Think complex carbs like brown rice, oats, dal, and plenty of vegetables. Small, frequent meals work well. Avoid juices and packaged snacks completely.
