What is gastric cancer?

My elderly aunt was recently diagnosed with stomach cancer. The doctor used the term 'gastric cancer'. I want to learn more about it to better support her. What is gastric cancer and what are its common causes?

Hey! Gastric cancer is basically stomach cancer. It's when cells in your stomach lining start growing out of control. Don't stress too much just by knowing this; usually, it's detected if you have persistent symptoms. Best to consult a doc if anything feels off.

Namaste. Gastric cancer means cancer that starts in the stomach. My grandmother used to say always eat on time and freshly prepared food to keep the stomach healthy. But for serious things like this, please trust only what the doctor says after proper check-up, don't self-diagnose.

From what I've seen on health apps and research, gastric cancer is basically stomach cancer. It often starts slowly with minor symptoms that get worse. Early detection is key, so if you're concerned, definitely get a proper medical opinion and don't rely on internet info too much.

It's cancer that affects the stomach. It's a serious condition. If you have concerns, speaking to a doctor is the best step.
