What is flank pain?

Been having some pain in my lower back, almost on the side, for a few days now. My friend said it might be 'flank pain'. What exactly is flank pain, and should I be worried about it?

Flank pain is discomfort in your side, basically the area between your ribs and hips. It can be due to many things, from muscle strain to kidney issues. Given its varied causes, a quick doctor's visit is essential to rule out anything serious. No time for guesswork.

Flank pain refers to pain in your side, specifically the area on either side of your lower back, below the ribs. It's commonly associated with kidney problems like stones or infections, but can also be musculoskeletal. You absolutely need to get it checked by a doctor for proper diagnosis.

Oh, flank pain! I've had that, and trust me, it's not something to ignore. It's pain in your side, often indicating kidney stones or a UTI. My tip: don't delay seeing a doctor. They'll do some scans or urine tests and pinpoint the cause quickly. Timely treatment prevents it from getting worse.

Flank pain is discomfort felt in the side of the body, between the upper abdomen and the back, below the ribs. My doctor explained that it's frequently associated with renal conditions such as kidney stones or pyelonephritis, but muscle strains or nerve impingement can also be culprits. A thorough clinical evaluation including urine tests and imaging is crucial for accurate diagnosis.

Flank pain is pain on your side, often around the kidney area. With conditions like PCOS, we tend to be more cautious about any new pains. While it could be something simple like a muscle pull, it's also a common symptom of kidney issues. Please don't self-diagnose; get a doctor's opinion to be safe.
