What is emotional and mental health?

Recently, there's been a lot of talk about 'emotional and mental health' in my office. I understand mental health, but what's the difference or connection with emotional health? Are they the same thing?

Emotional and mental health is about how well you manage your feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. It's not just about physical fitness, but also having a strong mind. Regular exercise, like walking or yoga, helps me clear my head and reduces stress, which really boosts my mental well-being.

Emotional and mental health is about feeling good inside and being able to cope with life's ups and downs. It's very much connected to physical health. Eating a balanced vegetarian diet, rich in fresh fruits and vegetables, helps keep my mind clear and mood stable. What we feed our body affects our mind too.

Bete, emotional and mental health means having peace in your heart and mind. It's about being able to manage your worries and find happiness in small things. Sometimes, a quiet prayer, spending time in nature, or even a good cup of haldi doodh before sleep can help calm the mind. Take care of your soul, not just your body.

Emotional and mental health is so important, it’s about your overall well-being, how you feel and think. I've tried things like meditation and journaling when I felt low, and they really helped. It's about recognizing your feelings, coping with stress, and maintaining good relationships. It's okay to seek help if you're struggling, even from a therapist.

Emotional and mental health is simple: it's how you think, feel, and act. Are you generally happy? Can you handle problems? Do you have good relationships? It affects everything. So, take care of your mind just like you take care of your body. Don't ignore stress or sadness, get help if needed.

From my own experience, emotional and mental health is about how balanced you feel day-to-day. It’s not just about not having a 'disease,' but about feeling content, dealing with stress effectively, and connecting with others. When I neglect it, everything else feels off. It's as important as physical health, if not more.
