What is difference between two stroke and four stroke?

My car mechanic friend was explaining something about engines and mentioned two-stroke and four-stroke. I'm just curious, what is the basic difference between a two-stroke and a four-stroke engine?

Arre, yeh toh gaadi ke engines ki baat ho rahi hai na? Simple bhasha mein, two stroke mein kam parts hote hain aur woh thoda tez chalte hain, par pollution zyada karte hain. Four stroke wale thode dheere, par engine smooth aur cleaner hote hain. Bas itna hi yaad hai mujhe school se.

Ha ha, sounds like a question for a mechanic, not a health forum! But if we're talking about health, my two strokes are getting up in the morning and getting back to bed at night. The four strokes? Probably getting to office, surviving meetings, fighting traffic, and then finally eating dinner. Exhausting!

For something like this, it's best to check with an expert. Engine types are quite technical. You should ask a mechanic or refer to a reliable automotive guide. Don't rely on random information for such specifics, it can be risky.

Okay, quick breakdown: two-stroke engines are simpler, lighter, and more powerful for their size, often used in things like lawnmowers or older scooters. Four-stroke engines are more complex, heavier, but more fuel-efficient, cleaner, and durable, used in most modern cars and bikes. Choose based on your need, but for regular use, four-stroke is better.

Two stroke engines complete the power cycle in two piston movements, while four stroke engines take four movements. Four strokes are generally more fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly, but two strokes offer higher power-to-weight ratio. Hope this helps!
