What is considred a fever?

My daughter feels warm, but her temperature isn't very high. At what temperature range do doctors generally consider someone to have a 'fever'? I just want to know when to start worrying.

Hey! Generally, if your body temperature goes above 100.4°F (38°C) measured orally, it's considered a fever. For kids, sometimes doctors say even 99.5°F is a concern if accompanied by other symptoms. Always best to keep a thermometer at home.

We usually say 100 degree F is a fever. For me, if it's thoda upar, I try some kaadha or gile patti on forehead. But if it goes too high or you feel really unwell, please see a doctor, don't take risks.

From what I understand, anything above 100.4°F (38°C) is technically a fever. But the main thing is how you're feeling and if there are other symptoms. If it's persistent or very high, a doctor's advice is always best.

For most adults, a temperature over 100.4°F is usually a fever. It's good to rest and drink plenty of fluids when you feel warm.

Beta, if your body feels गरम (garam) and the thermometer shows 100 or above, it is fever. Pehle toh try to rest and drink warm water. If it doesn't come down in a day or two, then go to the doctor for sure.
