What is chronic kidney disease stage 2?

My neighbour just found out she has chronic kidney disease stage 2. She's quite stressed, and I want to understand what this stage implies for her.

I agree with most of the positive advice here. Stage 2 means you have very mild kidney damage with an eGFR between 60 and 89, so keeping your blood pressure under strict check is key here.

Don't worry too much about Stage 2, it is still considered very mild. Just stay in touch with your doctor and manage your lifestyle habits regularly.

Stage 2 is a gentle reminder from nature to bring balance back to your life. I have found that practicing mild pranayama like Anulom Vilom daily helps keep stress levels and blood pressure down, which is very supportive for kidney health.

With Stage 2, you can definitely continue working out, but just avoid those heavy, unverified protein supplements that put extra strain on the kidneys. Stick to whole foods, stay hydrated based on your doctor's advice, and keep your cardio active.

We initially ignored stage 2 thinking it's just mild, but my husband's creatinine levels jumped quickly because we didn't monitor his high blood pressure. Please do not take this lightly; go for regular follow-ups and never skip the medicines your doctor prescribes.
