What is cbt in mental health?

My therapist suggested I try 'CBT' for my anxiety, and I'm trying to learn more about it before starting sessions. What is CBT in mental health, and how does it usually work?

It stands for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which is basically training your brain to stop overthinking and creating fake scenarios at 2 AM. Highly recommend it over self-diagnosing on Google!

It is a highly structured form of therapy that helps you identify and change negative thought patterns. You can even use mental health apps to track your CBT thought diaries daily.

I ignored my anxiety for years thinking I could fix it myself. Doing CBT with a certified therapist finally helped me recover, so please seek professional help early.

My teenage daughter did CBT sessions for exam anxiety. It gave her very practical tools to manage her negative thoughts, which was wonderful to see.

Actually, CBT is like mental rewiring, yaar. It helps you change how you react to stressful situations, and it really works if you find a good therapist.

Think of CBT as a workout for your brain to break bad mental habits. Combining therapy with regular physical exercise is amazing for mental clarity.
